Ben）Hi, Jackie. You look busy.
Jackie）Well, the PR event is due to begin in an hour, and there's still lots to do.
Ben）I'm sure you'll have everything ready in time.
Jackie）Thanks. Now, did you make the posters I asked you for?
Ben）Oh, no! I completely forgot. I'm very sorry.
Jackie）What? OK, don't worry about it. It's too late now.
Ben）No. I can make some very quickly on my computer.
Jackie）OK. So, do it!

＊in ages = しばらく
＊sharpen = （知性などを）鋭くする

- Check your grammar -
① due to「～する予定」
　The PR event is due to begin in an hour, and there's still lots to do.
　PRイベントが1時間後に始まるのに、まだたくさんやることがあります。
② リポート文
　I'm sure you'll have everything ready in time.
　君ならきっとすべてを時間内に準備できるよ。

＊ " apologize " = しっかり深く謝罪する時に使う。

　① That's OK. / That's all right.　大丈夫ですよ。
　② Never mind.　気にしないで下さい。
　③ It doesn't matter.　たいしたことじゃありませんよ。
　④ These things happen.　よくあることですよ。「思いやり」
　⑤ Just forget it, OK?　忘れましょう、いいね？

　謝罪します。 -　ええ、当然そうするべきよ。
・I'm sorry. － That's not enough.

1) 気にしないで下さい。かなり簡単に直せますよ。
2) たいしたことではありませんよ。どのみち古いドレスだったのですから。
3) それについては忘れましょう。ミーティング前に私が解決しますよ。

1) Never mind. I can fix it quite easily.
2) It doesn't matter. It was an old dress anyway.
