Wife）That was a great dinner. It's good to eat out sometimes.
Husband）Yes, it is — once in a while. It's always good to come home, too. What? It's hot in here.
Wife）You forgot to turn off the heater ... again!
Husband）Oh, no! Sorry. It's my fault. It won't happen again.
Wife）That's what you said last time.
Husband）I had a feeling I had forgotten something.
Wife）Well, I don't want to see our electric bill. It's going to be astronomical!
Husband）Get out of here.

ごめん。私のせいです。もう二度とこんなことにはなりません。

＊ " sorry " = 謝罪に重要なのは、そのあとに何をつけ足すか。
＊ " It won't happen again. " = 今後どうするかという「約束」を付け足している。
＊ " You have my word " = 「この約束はたがえない」という気持ち。
