Lesson198「現在完了形と過去形」

Nico）Welcome back, sis. How was your trip?
Cheryl）Wonderful. I'll tell you about it on the way home.
Nico）I'm looking forward to hearing all your stories.
Cheryl）Thanks a lot for coming to pick me up.
Nico）Hey, what are big brothers for? Let's get going.
Cheryl）I'll let you handle the big suitcase.
Nico）No problem. Er... where have I parked my car? Airport parking garages are so confusing.
Cheryl）You don't remember the space number? Unbelievable! I should have taken the train!

＊parking garages = 立体駐車場
＊vomit = 食べ物を吐く、嘔吐する

- Check your grammar -
① on「線上」
　I'll tell you about it on the way home.
　そのことは帰り道で話します
② What ... for?「何のため？」
　What are big brothers for?
　お兄さんは何のためにいると思うのですか？

＊" 現在完了形 " イメージは「迫ってくる」。「車は今どこにあるのだろう」。
＊" 過去形 " →「今からは遠く離れている」。「（あのとき）車をどこに止めたのだろう」
＊" 現在完了形 " イメージは「迫ってくる」→「経験」「継続」「結果」

 （例文）

　僕は車をどこに駐車したのだろう？
・I told you not to play soccer here.
　ここでサッカーをやらないように言ったでしょう？
・I've told you not to play soccer here.
　ここでサッカーをやらないように言ったでしょう？

1) 足首を捻挫したから、週末はスキーに行けないんだ。
