Lesson174「可算名詞・不可算名詞のイメージ④　要注意の不可算名詞」
Jonas）Wow, the winter bonus was bigger than I was expecting.
Yayoi）We're lucky. The company's sales were very good this year.
Jonas）How are you going to spend it? Don't say, “I'm going to save it.”
Yayoi）Actually, I want to travel to Italy. How about you?
Jonas）I need to buy some new furniture for my living room. My cat has ruined most of my things.
Yayoi）Let me guess. You're going to that European furniture store.
Jonas）No, I was thinking about Indian-style furniture.

＊bowing = お辞儀
＊understatement = 控えめな表現

① 比較級 + than + 文内容
　The winter bonus was bigger than I was expecting.
　この冬のボーナスは期待していたよりも多かったね。
② ruin「素晴らしかったものが台無しになる」
　My cat has ruined most of my things.
　飼っているネコが、僕のものをほとんどぼろぼろにしてしまいました。
③ think abot 「色々考える」
　No, I was thinking about Indian-style furniture.
　いや、僕はインド風の家具のことを考えていました。

＊可算：具体的で決まった形があるなら
＊不可算：抽象的で形がないなら
＊可不可算には " a piece of " を使う
＊" furniture " は不可算。決まった形がない。chair, desk, table など、生活に必要なある程度の大きさのものすべてを覆う「概念」。
＊" money " は形がない「概念」。bill, coin なら形があるから可算。
