・ 副詞・可算，不可算名詞のイメージでつかむ。

Lesson171「可算名詞・不可算名詞のイメージ①　形があるのか・ないのか」
Dad）Hi, Roxy. How was your dentist appointment?
Roxy）Not too bad, but I hate the drilling noise at the dentist.
Dad）Anyway, I made the perfect dish for dinner, French onion soup. Here you are.
Roxy）Um, it's tasty, but there is too much onion in it.
Dad）There's supposed to be a lot of onion in it.
Roxy）How many onions did you use?
Dad）Three large ones.
Roxy）Isn't that too much onion?
Dad）Not really. It all cooks down.

＊bowing = お辞儀
＊horrendous = ものすごい、凄まじい、ひどい

- Check your grammar -
① be supposed to ～「規則，法律，約束」
　There's supposed to be a lot of onion in it.
　タマネギがたくさん入ることになっています。
② 代名詞 one「不可算名詞には使えん！」
　How many onions did you use? - Three large ones.
　タマネギをいくつ使いましたか？ - 大きなものを３個です

・Chris likes white wine better than red wine.
 

- Build up your vocabulary -

There is too much onion in it.
入っているタマネギが多すぎます。

＊可算：具体的で決まった形があるなら
＊不可算：抽象的で形がないなら
＊" much " は「量」の多さを言ってるから、不可算に使う
＊キーセンテンスの onion が不可算なのは、スープの中ですでに形をなくしているから。

 （例文）
・There are three onions in the fridge.
　冷蔵庫の中に３つタマネギがある。
・My girlfriend put〔 too much apple / too many apples 〕in the salad.
　私のガールフレンドはサラダにリンゴを入れ過ぎた。（リンゴは切って、さらだにいれるから）
