A) Monica, have you thought of something to promote the new book?
B) Yes. I think we should make a doll of the author in a Hawaiian shirt.
A) A doll of the author?
B) Yes, we can give it as a present to people who buy the book.
A) The cost of making the dolls would be too high.
B) I disagree.
A) Listen to me. This is a bad idea.
B) Well, if you say so. You’re the boss.

よく聞くんだ。それはいいアイデアじゃないよ。

＊ " hear " は「聞こえる」。音が向こうからやってくる感触。
＊ " Listen " は「耳を傾ける」。自発的、積極的な行為。
＊ " hear about " は「具体的」。
