Lesson231：「目的語拡張：目的語位置にある to不定詞・動詞ing」

 A) Could you please tell me your sales visit plan for today?
 B) Sure. I’m going to visit Pears Tech to make a sales presentation in the morning, and after that I’ll visit HIROTO Corporation for a meeting in the afternoon.
 A) Remember to meet Amy there, OK?
 B) Excuse me. Could I ask who Amy is?
 A) Don’t you know Amy? Come on! She is in charge of production.
 B) Oh, sorry I’m so forgetful. I remember now. I’ll definitely talk to Amy and promote our products.
 A) You need to take your responsibilities more seriously, Thomas.
 B) I’m sorry. I’ll do a better job this time, Vivian.

＊英語での文づくりは、決まった場所に表現を「放り込んでいく」作業。この文では、to不定詞が remember の目的語位置に「放り込まれて」いる。to不定詞は「（指し示す）矢印」がイメージにあり、「これから」のニュアンスを帯びている。よって、" remember to ~ " は「（これから）～することを忘れない」となる。動詞ing は「生き生きとした動作」を表し、「その時の動作 → 過去」を示す。
