A) Thank you. Sorry, I couldn’t help noticing. That’s a nice watch.
B) It was my father’s. My father left me everything he possessed, including this company.
A) So, you’re the second president?
B) That’s right. My father founded this company in 1967.
A) What do you feel is the secret of your company’s success?
B) My father’s philosophy. He always said, “Put the customers first.”

＊" treat " = 普段はない、素晴らしい出来事
＊" can’t say " = 分からない

父は自分が持っていたものをすべて私に残してくれました。

＊ " possess " は「大切なもの・非合法のもの・才能などを」を持っているイメージ。「しっかりと抱きかかえている」というニュアンスがある。
＊" belong " は「ピッタリくる場所」というイメージ。
＊" own " は「オーナーである」ということ。シンプル。

　彼は取りつかれたように私に襲いかかってきた。
・This watch belongs to me.
　この時計は私のです.
・I don’t belong here.
　私はこの場にピッタリこない = 居場所がない
・I own this restaurant.
　私はこのレストランを所有しています。

2) I just found out that Helen and I belong to the same sports club.
3) That guy owns a chain of sushi restaurants. He’s mega-rich.

1) " qualifications " = どんな仕事でも求められる資質は1つじゃないから
