 B) No. He’s getting up, and everybody’s laughing now.
 A) Kids today have no common sense. They’re always looking at their phones while riding their bikes.
 B) I know. They need to be more careful.
 A) They also need to be quiet outside during the nighttime!

 ＊" cram school " = 学習塾
＊" Kids today " = 今どきの子供

- Check your grammar -
① What’s all this noise about?
　このやかましい音は一体何なんだ？
② I saw what the kid did.
　その子が何をやったのかを見ましたよ。

＊①の " wh疑問文 " は「空白（about の後ろ）」が重要。空所は質問のターゲット。　②の " what " は疑問の意味を持たず、文の部品でしかない。

彼はあそこのフェンスにぶつかったんです。

＊この " into " は「中へのｓ動き」イメージ。そこから「めり込み・衝突の衝撃」に繋がる。また、「入り込んでいる → 大好きだ」という使い方もある。

　家に帰る途中、ケンにバッタリ会った。
・I’m really into yoga now. 
　今はヨガにハマっています。
・They promised to look into the matter.
　彼らはその件について調べると約束してくれた。

・He has a lot of things on his mind.
　彼はたくさん気にかかっていることがある。

① Next week, our school is having the club presentations for freshmen.
　来週には学校で新入生のためのクラブ説明会があるのよ。
② I’ll do my best.
　私はベストを尽くします。

＊①の " be + -ing " は未来の「予定」を表す。また、英語はよく無生物を主語に取る。　②の " will " は「見通す」イメージ。そこから「意志」「未来」のイメージが作られる。

いつでも僕を当てにしていいよ。

＊この " on " は「支える」イメージ。テーブルがボールを支えているとも捉えれるから。" depend on, rely on " もある。また、テーブルにボールがのしかかっているようにも捉えれるので、「圧力」のイメージもある。

　この映画は実話に基づいています。
・My wife did it on purpose.
　妻はわざとやったんだ。
・She’s living on her pension.
　彼女は年金暮らしだ。

　クモはハエを常食とする。

　彼はたくさん気にかかっていることがある。

1) 彼はあまりにも両親に頼りすぎだと僕は思うな。
2) 鉱山の中に閉じ込められた人々は、水だけで生き延びた。

1) I think he depends too much on his parents.

2）" trapp "  means you basically cannot escape from it, right? So this, not being able to escape.

彼は仕事でベトナムに出かけました。

＊テーブルを出来事がそのうえで起こる舞台のような物とみなすと、" business " という舞台の上で " He went to Vietnaim " という出来事が起こった、というイメージになる。" on duty, on holiday, on vacation " もこのイメージ。また、媒体・機器も舞台がイメージされる。前置詞のイメージは単純故に、幅広い意味がある。

 （例文）
・He is on sick leave.
　彼は病気休暇中です。
・I’m on duty now.
　今、勤務中です。
・I heard it on the radio.
　それはラジオで聞きました。
・I always write on a computer.
　僕はいつもパソコンで書きものをします。
・I live on the Yamanote Line.
　私は山手線沿線に住んでいます。

1) 私のお気に入りのバンドは現在ツアー中です。
2) 「ハッピーバースデー」をギターで弾く方法を知っている。

1) My favorite band is on tour at the moment.

1）" tour "  means "going around several different places". So a band on tour would be going around the country or going around the world.
