Dialog4「Quitting the Band」

A) I’m quitting the band and moving to Nashville.
B) What! Why? You’re making good money here.
A) I feel like I’m in a rut. I need to move on to bigger and better things.
B) Have you got a gig in Nashville?
A) Nope.
B) How are you going to make a living?
A) I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.

- Words & Expressions -
・quit – 　〜を辞める
・Nashville　ナッシュヴィル（米国テネシー州の州都。カントリーウエスタン音楽の中心地）
・make good money 　しっかり稼ぐ、収入がよい
・feel like – 　〜したい気がする
・in a rut 　マンネリ気味で、進歩がなくて
・rut 　マンネリ [rʌ́t] 　「rat [rǽt]　ネズミ」
・move on　 (過去を捨てて) 前に、先へ進む
・bigger and better things 　もっと大きくてレベルの高いこと
・gig　短期の仕事
・make a living 　生計を立てる
・I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. 　それはそのときに何とかします。

＊意思を伝える表現。「起こってもいないことは心配しない」という意味の決まり文句。Let's を使って提案することもできる。
