Lesson224「便利な定型表現：同意の定型表現④　不同意」

Sachi）Yamanashi is so beautiful at this time of year!
Jiro）Yes, the peach blossoms look lovely.
Sachi）Oh, Dad, we just missed the bus. Let’s take a taxi to get to our video-shooting location.
Jiro）Taxis are expensive. We’ve already spent lots of money for this trip.
Sachi）I disagree. Time is money.
Jiro）OK. Do you have the phone number of a taxi company?
Sachi）I can do a search on my phone.

＊have ～ in mind = ～を考えている
＊jump to a conclusion = 結論を急ぐ

① 不可算名詞「money, bills, coins」・比喩
　We’ve already spent lots of money for this trip.
　Time is money.
② on「機器・媒体」
　I can do a search on my phone.
　私のスマホで検索出来ます。

I disagree.
私はそうは思いません。
＊英語の持つ基本的な態度 =「言語化する」。意見の対立を恐れずに。
＊意見を言うことが大切。
＊「見方が違う」=「不同意」。
＊ " probably " = おそらく

 （例文）
・I completely disagree.
　まったく同意できません。

・That’s just not true.
　それはまったく正しくない。
・That’s not how I see it.
　私はそんなふうに見ては（考えては）いません。
　A）Learning English through Japanese is the best way.
　　日本語を通して英語を学ぶのが最上の方法だよ。
　B）I just don’t see it that way at all.
　　私は全然そんなふうに考えてはいません。

- Express yourself in English -
1) 私は同意できません。私たちはより多く、少なくではなく、研究開発に投資しなければならないのです。
2) 私の実績に対するあなたの評価にまったく同意できません。
3) 私はそんなふうに見てはいません。私にとっては、キースは何も間違ったことをしていません。それどころか彼はたいへん強力に交渉しましたよ。

1) I disagree. We need to invest more, not less, in R&D.
2) I suppose you have a point there, but we need to look at the bigger picture.
3) That’s not how I see it. For me, Keith did nothing wrong. On the contrary, he negotiated very strongly.

 3) " test " = 色んなテスト全般，" exam " = 学校のテスト
