～ラジオ英会話4月のテーマと目的～
・今年度のテーマは、単語・英語表現のイメージ。日本語訳ではなく、イメージで単語を操作することで、英会話は飛躍する。

Lesson17「atのイメージ」

A) Kaya, how was your trip to Osaka?
B) I had a really nice time. It was good to see Risa again.
A) Ah, I remember you told me she moved there from Tokyo to improve her comedy skills.
B) That’s right. And now she’s really fantastic at stand-up comedy.
A) Where does she perform?
B) There is a famous theater in Namba. That’s where I saw her show. She’s so funny!
A) I’d like to see her perform one day.

＊" stand-up comedy " = 一人で行うお笑い
＊" Kids today " = 今どきの子供

① I remember you told me she moved there from Tokyo to improve her comedy skills.
　女はコメディーの腕を磨くために、東京からあっちに引っ越したと君が言ったことを覚えています。
② Where does she perform?
　彼女はどこで演じているんだい？

＊①のは、説明ルール。英語は右展開の言葉。空所は質問のターゲット。

＊この " at " は「点」を示している。人の様々な側面に光を当てて、評価する言い回し。
