Dialog2「Broken Washing Machine」

A) Zach! The washing machine is making a loud sound!
B) Sometimes it goes out of whack in the spin cycle.
A) Can you take a look?
B) Okay. Wow. That’s a heavy load.
A) I’ll take out my quilt.
B) That should do the trick.
A) Oh, no! I think I broke it!
B) Oh, well. It’s still under warranty.now!

- Words & Expressions -

・out of whack　（機械や体の一部の) 調子が悪く
・in the spin cycle　脱水（サイクル）中に
・heavy load　（洗濯機に入れる）たくさんの量
・take out　（中から）取り出す

- Write It -
女性が兄の洗濯機を使うとその調子が悪くなります。それがさらにひどくなり、彼女はそれを壊したと思います。彼は彼女にまだそれが保証期間中だと言います。

The woman uses her brother’s washing machine and it goes out of whack. It gets worse and she thinks (that) she broke it. He tells her (that) it’s still under warranty.
