A) I’ve obviously read your resume, but to get us started, can you tell me a bit about yourself.
B) Yes. I have a lot of energy, and I love to get things done.
A) Excellent. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
B) I’m very good at working with many different kinds of people. As for weaknesses, I can be a little too strict on myself.
A) Your resume says that you are fluent in Japanese and Spanish. Have you been to Spain?
B) No, but I’d love to go there someday.
A) Well, you may have a chance very soon. I’d like to offer you the job, Emma.
B) That’s wonderful. Thank you.

あなたの履歴書にはもちろん目を通したのですが、まず、あなたご自身について少し話してもらえますか？

＊「日本語訳では、英語の本質は理解できない」というのが次のステップ。ここで " obviously " の代わりに " clearly " は使えない。" obviously " は「見ればわかる、当たり前のことだというニュアンスが含まれている。だから、このシチュエーションにはピッタリ。また、" have + 過去分詞 " では「現在に焦点があったている」ことを体感していないとダメ。用法・単語はその感覚を掴むことが重要。

・We’ve been partners for five years.
　５年間、パートナーです。
