B) Really? Your parents are too strict. My parents don’t mind my using me phone at dinner.
A) That’s unbelievable. My parents would get so mad. They always say dinner is a time to talk with each other as a family.
B) They have a good point, but my friends always send me messages even during dinnertime.
A) Why don’t you just reply later?
B) They expect me to reply quickly.

両親は決して夕食のテーブルで私にスマートフォンを使わせてくれない

＊動詞原型が説明語句として使われた、目的語説明型の文。「me = use my phone」だが、" let " は「許す」なので、ある状況を妨げずそのままにしておく、ということである。
＊" make " =「力を入れて作る、強い強制力を感じる」
＊" have " =「強制力を感じない」ので、上下関係（私・アシスタント）や、サービスを受ける・提供する関係（客・店 , 患者・医師）が前提になることがよくある。→ わざわざ強制する必要がない。

何があなたのキモチを変えさせたの？ = どうして気が変わったの？
・I’ll have my assistant book a hotel for you.
　僕のアシスタントに君のホテルを予約させますよ。
