Dialog5「Lost underground」

A) Hi. Do you need some help?
B) Yes! Where is Sensoji Temple?
A) That’s not anywhere near here.
B) Isn’t this Asakusa station?
A) This is Akasakamitsuke.
B) They sound identical to me. Now what do I do?
A) Get back to the same platform. It’ll take you straight to Asakusa station.
B) I got it. Thanks!

- Words & Expressions -
・Do you need some help? 　お手伝いしましょうか？「any ではなくsome」
・sensoji Temple 　浅草寺
・not anywhere near here　こことは全く別のところに
・sound identical to me 　私には同じように聞こえる
・what do I do?　どうしたらいいものか。
・get back to -　〜までもどる
・straight to –　〜まで一本で、乗り換えなしで
・I got it.　分かりました。

＊提案の表現。助けが必要であることがハッキリしている時は「some help」を、そうでない時には「any help, help」を使う。

B) Thank you.

- Say It -
That’s not anywhere near here.
＊ " anywhere と hear " は強める。" near " は普通は弱めるが、「近いわけがない」と否定するため強める。" anywhere near here " は一気に言う。

- Write It -
浅草に行きたい旅行者が赤坂見附駅の地下部分で迷っています。彼女にとっては赤坂も浅草も同じように聞こえるのです。一人の少年が彼女のトラブルを解決します。
