Dialog1「The sweet talker」

A) Have you seen Rob around?
B) He moved to Elktown.
A) He did? He owes me money!
B) That’s par for the course.
A) I thought he was my friend!
B) That Rob is a real sweet talker. He owes a lot of people in town money.
A) How could he do this to me?
B) You have to roll with the punches.

＊評価の表現。ゴルフから生まれた表現で「それはそのコースではパーだ」とは「それは通常よくあることだ」という意味。否定的なニュアンスがあり、意訳している。

＊同じ子音の連続である " with the " を省略する。最初の " th" を省いて、次の thへつなぐ。" have to " は「は・フトゥ」と強める。

ロブはその女性に借金がありますがほかの町へ引っ越してしまいました。彼女のジムの友だちは、それは想定内のことであり、なんとか乗り切らねばと言います。
