Lesson219：「語順を変えるということ」

 A) Hi, Aki. How are you?
 B) Fine, but a little tired. Yesterday, we had our school festival.
 A) What on earth is a school festival?
 B) Oh, I guess it’s unique to Japan. Don’t you have them in the UK?
 A) No. Can you tell me about them?
 B) Well, in almost every high school in Japan, the students put on a festival at the school with special attractions and events such as musical performances. Friends, family and others come to our school to enjoy the festival.
 A) Sounds interesting. Did you participate in it?
 B) Yes, my classmates and I made yakisoba and sold it to the visitors. It was so delicious.

昨日、学園祭があったのです。

＊単純な文だが、語順が変わっている。「時」を説明する単語 " yesterday " が文末から文頭に置かれて、この単語に焦点を当てている。焦点を当てることで、「ちょっと疲れている」理由となっている。対比にも使われる
