（状況）ベッツィーがジャックに話をしていると…

A) ハークション！
B) お大事に！サムは38.1度の熱があるの。
A) それは大変だ。ハークション！ティッシュはどこだろう？鼻をかまないといけない。
B) はい、どうぞ。あなたは風邪を引きかけていると思うわ。
A) そうだね。喉がイガイガする

B) 今日のところは病欠の電話をしたほうがいいわ。
A) 分かった。今日はサムと2人で家にいるよ。
B) あなたの体温を測らせて。
A) 熱はないよ。

A) Aaachoo!
B) Bless you! Sam has a fever of 38.1
A) Oh, my. Aaachoo! Where are the tissues? I need to blow my nose.
B) Here. I think you’re coming down with a cold.
A) Yeah. My throat feels scratchy.
B) You’d better call in sick today.
A) Okay. Sam and I will stay home today.
B) Let me take your temperature.
A) I don’t have a fever.

・have a fever of – 　〜度の熱がある
・Oh, my. 　ああ、大変だ！
・tissue 　ティッシュ　（発音注意）
・blow one’s nose 　鼻をかむ
・be coming down with a cold　風邪を引きかけている　

　＊重篤な病気にはcome down withは使わない
・My throat feels – 　私の喉は～のような感じがします。
・scratchy 　イガイガする、ざらついた
・call in sick 　病欠の電話をする

今日のところは病欠の電話をしたほうがいいです

＊助言の表現。 " You'd better ~ " は、「～すれば相手のためになる」と信じるアドバイスに使う。「もし、しなければ悪くなるよ」というニュアンスが含まれている。

＊ " call in sick " は、「（学校や職場に）病欠の電話をする」という意味のイディオム。

＊" I " を強調する。通常、機能後の代名詞は弱める。ここでの " I " は、個人的意見であることを強調したいため強める。

・" think (that) ~ and that ~ "

最初の節には、" that" は使っても使わなくてもどっちでもいいが、2番目の節は、はっきりさせるために " that " が必須！
