Mirai）Hi, Theo. It's nice to see you again. Do you often walk your dog here?

Theo）Yeah, I usually come here on the weekends. How's your dog Paul?

Mirai）He's fine, thanks. You know, I've also got a cat.

Theo）Oh, you have two pets now?

Mirai）Yes, my cat Ringo is good friends with Paul.

Theo）Paul and Ringo, huh? Sounds like the Beatles. Are you going to get another pet and name it John or George?

Mira） Ha-ha! I doubt it.

＊ " doubt " は「疑う」。「そうじゃない」と思う心の動きを表す。
＊" suspect " は、すぐには決めれない内容を複雑な論理の道筋を追いながら考える。
＊" suspect " は「推測する」。証拠が少なくて確たることが言えない。

　もう彼女から連絡はないと思うよ。
・It was just a misunderstanding, I suspect.
　ただの誤解だったんじゃないかと思うよ。

　事故の原因についてあれこれ憶測するのは無責任じゃないでしょうか。
