Lesson111「「行動を起こさせる」レベル２動詞：persuade, force, orde」
A) Hi, Pam. How did the meeting with the Japanese company go?
B) Pretty well, I think. We spent a long time preparing for it, so we were able to put forward some powerful arguments.
A) So, do you think you persuaded them to accept our conditions?
B) Well, they were tough negotiators, but in the end I believe they will agree to most of them.
A) Well done. I’m sure the boss will be delighted.

＊" put forward " = 提案する
＊" a fortune " = 大金

＊ " persuade " は「説得する」。「話し合い」により相手に行動を起こさせる。
＊ " force " は「強制する」。脅迫・暴カまで視野に入る動詞。
＊ " order " は「 AとBを見分ける」。

（例文）
・Don’t let him persuade you into lending him money.
　彼にお金を貸すように説得されちゃだめだよ。
・You don’t have to accept. Nobody’s forcing you.
　受け入れることはないよ。誰も無理強いしているわけじゃないから。
・My boss has stopped ordering me to work late.
　私の上司は私に残業を命じるのをやめた。
