Lesson61「have のイメージ」

A) We have a special treat today. Please welcome International Song Contest Award winner, Katrina. I’m happy to have you here today.
B) Thank you, Larry. It’s good to be back.
A) The last time was back in 2015, wasn’t it?
B) Yes, it seems like yesterday.
A) What have you been up to recently?
B) Well, next weekend I’ll be performing with 20 artists from around the world. We’re having a charity concert.
A) I’m one of your biggest fans, so l’ll definitely go.

＊" treat " = 普段はない、素晴らしい出来事
＊" can’t say " = 分からない

① What have you been up to recently?
　最近はどのような活動をしていらっしゃるんですか。

② I’ll be performing with 20 artists from around the world.
　世界中からやって来る20人のアーティストと共演することになっています。

＊" up to " = 〜を手がける・従事する。

　いつまでここにいるのですか？

＊ " have " は「自分の回りにある」感じ。そこから「所有」が生まれた。

＊「」イメージ。

＊ " locate " は「位置」に焦点がある。

（解説）
2) " fire " = 何かをやらかして首になる
　 " lay off " = 景気後退などで、解雇する。一時的な解雇でもある
