Dialog6 「On their ride to work」

 A) Hey, thanks for picking me up.
 B) No problem. I enjoy your company!
 A) Oh, gosh! Let’s try not to get into trouble with Bud today.
 B) You know, Bud has a lot of misplaced anger.
 A) What do you mean?
 B) The diner is not doing well.
 A) Really?
 B) He’s putting all the blame on us.
 A) Okay. Now I see.

- Words & Expressions -
・on X’s ride to Y　Xが車でYへ向かう途中で
・I enjoy your company! 　あなたといると楽しいです！ 
・Oh, gosh！　ああ、もう。大変だ！（否定的）
・Let’s try not to -　〜しないようにしましょう。
・get into trouble with – 　〜ともめる
・have misplaced anger 　見当違いの怒りを抱える (怒る相手を間違えている)
・be not doing well　 (商売の)調子がよくない
・put (all) the blame on -　 その責任をすべて〜に押しつけてる。
・Now I see. 　これでわかりました。

- Apply It -
He’s putting all the blame on us.
彼はその責任をすべて我々に押しつけています。

＊状況を伝える表現。blame は「責任、非」を表す。" He thinks  it's all our fault " と比べ、「押し付け感」が強い。

（応用練習）
A) The trade fair was a flop.
B) I’m sorry.
A) Our boss is putting all the blame on us.
B) But it was the snow not you guys.

- Say It -
Bud has a lot of misplaced anger.

＊" has a " , " lot of " , " misplaced anger " をそれぞれリンクする。

- Write It -
車で職場へ向かう途中、ジェイコブはエイミーにダイナーがうまくいっていないのでバドは見当違いの怒りをたくさん抱えていると伝えます。バドはその責任をすべて彼らに押しつけているのです。

On their ride to work Jacob tells Amy (that) Bud has a lot of misplaced anger because the diner is not doing well. Bud is putting all the blame on them.
（解説）
・In English it’s just the opposite sentence order. It would be fact comes first, then followed by the reason. So, Jacob tells Amy that B, because A.
