Dialog1「Rain or Shine」

Man) Have you read any good books lately?
Woman）No. But this year I will read one book a month rain or shine.
Man）What are you reading this month?
Woman）It's called "Cure Procrastination Step by Step".
Man）Well, my New Year's resolution is to join a book club again!
Woman）Didn't you say that last year?
Man）Ha, ha!

- Apply It -
I will read one book a month―rain or shine.
私、何が何でも月に1冊読むつもりです。

＊決意を伝える表現。" rain or shine " は " come rain or shine "ともいい、文字通りの「雨天決行」だけでなく、比喩的な「何が何でも」という意味もある。

- Say It -
Have you read any good books lately?
＊機能語 " Have, you, any " を弱め、内容語 " read, good, books, lately " を強めると、当然ながら強めた内容語のおかげで内容がよく伝わる。" Read any good books lately? " と Have you が省略されることもある。

- Write It -
　ある女性が男性に、今年は何が何でも月に1冊本を読むと伝えます。それから男性が自分の新年の決意を彼女に伝えます。

A woman tells the man (that) this year she will read one book a month rain or shine. Then the man tells her his New Year's resolution.

・" from now on " = 今から何かが続く
・" arrange " = decide よりフレンドリー
