Dialog6「Mingling at a Company Cocktail Party」
（状況）パーティに招待されたハリソンが久しぶりにサンドラに会った。

A) サンドラ！僕を覚えている？
B) 見覚えがあるけど
A) ハリソンだよ。かつて1979年にパリで一韜に仕事をした。
B) ハリソン・ジョーンズね！もちろんよ！
A) ちっとも変わっていないね！
B) それは意見の分かれるところね。あなた、長い間どこにいたの？
A) 僕はブラジルで石油会社に勤めていたんだ。君はどうなんだい？
B) 長い話になるわ。
A) ちゃんと聞いておくから

 A) Sandra! Do you remember me?
 B) You look familiar.
 A) I’m Harrison. We worked together in Paris back in 1979.
 B) Harrison Jones! Of course!
 A) You haven’t changed a bit!
 B) That’s a matter of opinion. Where have you been all these years?
 A) I was in Brazil working for an oil company. How about yourself?
 B) It’s a long story.
 A) Go a head. I’m listening.

・cocktail party 　カクテルパーティー
（夕方行われる、アルコール類とオードブルの出るパーティー。通常は正装）
・You look familiar. 　あなたには見覚えがあります。
・back in ～ 　かつて〜に
・You haven’t changed a bit! 　ちっとも変わっていませんね！
・That’s a matter of opinion. 　それは意見の分かれるところです。
・Where have you been all these years? 　この長い間どこに（行って）いたのですか？
・be in X Y-ing 　Xという場所でYをしている
・It’s a long story.　 長い話になります。
・Go ahead. 　どうぞ始めてください。
・I’m listening. 　ちゃんと聞いていますから

 それは意見の分かれるところですね。

＊反対する表現。相手の意見に反対であることを「間接的に」伝える。

＊独特なフレンドリーな抑揚。" I'm " を強める。リスニンの n を上げると、熱心でフレンドリーな感じが出る。

ハリソンとサンドラは、昔パリで一緒に仕事をしていました。その後、ハリソンはブラジルで石油会社に勤めていました。サンドラに関しては、長い話になります。

Harrison and Sandra once worked together in Paris. Then Harrison was in Brazil working for an oil company. As for Sandra, it’s a long story.

男性は映画 [カサブランカ]のリック、女性はイルサ（日本ではイルザ）である。

Rick Lane, of bourse. You haven’t changed a bit!
That’s a matter of opinion. You haven’t, either.

I stopped running that night club, went to the North Atlantic for adventure. How about yourself.
